Abdel Ghani El Sayed
(1912 – December 9, 1962) – A singer born in Cairo, he received little formal education and worked as an upholsterer before discovering his talent as a singer. He became famous for his songs performed at weddings and rose to prominence on the radio in 1934. He also appeared in a few films. In 1940, he studied music. He was married twice. Among his most famous songs are “El Beid El Amara” and “Ala El Helwa Wal Morra.” His works include: – 1937 Behind the Curtain – 1938 Something from Nothing – 1944 The Cloak of Invisibility, Hassan and Hassan, Mohamed Ali Street – 1947 Nights of Joy
عبد الغني السيد
(1912 – 9/12/1962) – مطرب، مولود في القاهرة، لم يحظ على قدر من التعليم، فعمل “أسترجي” واكتشف موهبته كمطرب، ثم اشتهر بأغنياته في الأفراح، ولمع في الإذاعة عام 1934، وعمل في السينما في أفلام قليلة، وفي عام 1940 درس الموسيقى، تزوج مرتين من أشهر أغانيه،”البيض الأمارة”، “ع الحلوة والمرة” من أعماله: – 1937 وراء الستار – 1938 شيء من لا شيء – 1944 طاقية الإخفاء، حسن وحسن، شارع محمد علي – 1947 ليالي الأنس
